Company Name: The Company is registered as Wendeko Pty Ltd. It is Trading as Pacific Geotechnics Pty Ltd carrying out Engineering work as per the articles of the Business.  

Director/Principal: Paul Stewart Itiogen.  BSc (UPNG), MApplSc (UNSW), MAusIMM, MIE (PNG) – Registered Engineer  

Objectives of the Company 

The Companys objective is to provide professional Contract and Consultancy Services in Civil Engineering and all areas of Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology and Environmental Geology.

Pacific Geotechnics Ltd. is 100% nationally owned providing professional and specialist advise and services in all aspects of Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology and Environmental Geology to Mining and Civil Engineering Projects through out Papua New Guinea.

Main Areas of Specialisation

Site Investigation for Engineering Projects.

The services offered range from Site Investigation planning through to conducting Site Investigations, organising of appropriate field or laboratory testing equipment required to meet specific design requirements of the project, analysing of test results and providing design reports in the following areas,

The Company offers Services in Investigation and geological and geotechnical input in to Environmental Impact Assessment studies.

Professional Staff
 

Paul S Itiogen

Paul is the principal of the Company and is a registered engineer with the institution of Engineers PNG. His experience include 5 years as an academic with the University of PNG and University of Technology where he has taught geotechnnical Engineering, Engineering Geology & Hydrogeology. He has worked for two years with the Ok Tedi Mining Limited as the Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Prior to establishing his own company he recently has been the Director of the PNG Environmental Research and Management Centre based at Unitech .

Don Pela

Don Pela is a registered Civil Engineer. He has worked extensively with the national Works Department. He has worked in different capacities and has been Provincial Works Manager for the Western Highlands, Simbu Province and the West New Britain Province. Recently he was appointed highlands Regional Works Manager but resigned to go in to private practice. He has also worked with Star West Curtain Brothers as the Assistant Manager – Civil Works.

Marcus Mapen

Marcus Mapen is an engineering geologist. He has worked in mining and exploration companies and has been involved mostly as a geologist. Recently he has been involved in geotechnical engineering contracts secured by the Company.

Joseph Gough

Joseph Gough is from Brisbane – Australia. Joe has worked as a consultant in Australia, Asia, Africa and the Pacific. He over 25 years if extensive experience in all facets of Geotechnical Site investigation for Mining, Civil and Dam construction. He is a registered Engineer with the Australian Institute of Engineers and is the principal of Insite – Australia..
